About Inside Lacrosse

Inside Lacrosse was founded in 1996 by Robert Carpenter, a Duke lacrosse and Vestal, NY High School graduate. The maiden issue was a 16-page black-and-white newspaper consisting mostly of box scores and stats. Now, IL has evolved into a glossy, full-color format with 11 issues a year, produces an annual comprehensive NCAA season preview, Face-Off Yearbook, and hosts three of the sport’s biggest events each season in the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic, the Konica Minolta Big City Classic and the Smartlink Day of Rivals.
